 was founded in 2004 with the mission to address the growing shortage of doctors in the United States. Getting the support of Manipal University world renowned, AUA has become an international center of education, focused on a newly built 150 thousand square meters. ft., technologically advanced campus. AUA 's basic science curriculum consists of two semesters per academic year. This is based on the best programs for medical school in the United States and, with the new campus of the AUA, provides a learning experience unparalleled in the Caribbean.

AUA College of Medicine graduates are eligible for residency training positions nationwide.AUA College of Medicine has been approved by the Department of Education of the State of New York and recognized by the Medical Board of California *, allowing students to gain residency positions and safe clinical rotations in those states. AUA is one of the selected international medical schools whose students are eligible for more than 12 weeks of clinical rotations in New York, and whose graduates are eligible for the 20% of residency training positions located there.

* Students must complete their studies in the Basic Sciences Campus of AUA in Antigua or transfer to another institution AUA, the university must be recognized by the Medical Board of California in order to be eligible for clinical rotations, residence placements and medical license in the State of California. Students who enroll AUA basic science studies in the Kasturba Medical College International Center (KMCIC) are not eligible.
